Fabric buying is an art. \u00a0We all know this much is true. \u00a0After the first fabric purchase that left you hating your machine, your fabric, your pattern, your life, we vowed to change. \u00a0To learn more about fabric, textiles, hand, give, stretch, body, oh so much to know about fabric. \u00a0Sadly so much cannot be learned on the internet or in books. \u00a0Good ole trial and error lead to making fabric buying online or in store successful! I’ve blogged about this before<\/a>. I’ll blog about it tomorrow too. \u00a0This fabric buying blog deserves a\u00a0series.\u00a0I believe many need this information. \u00a0I know when I started into the wonderful\/ not so wonderful world of fabric I needed all the information and help out there!<\/p>\n

My number one complaint is always and will always be, the PRICE! \u00a0Yeah, I am a penny pincher and love seeing my money go as far as it can. \u00a0With fabric, it’s more than just a game of odds, it’s a studied, planned out, adventure. \u00a0Pack the most product into my measly dollars as humanly possible. \u00a0This is usually the moment I pull out the local store weekly ads, the online stores I frequent, and get down to the nitty gritty with pricing. \u00a0I realize sometimes inexpensive\u00a0fabric really fares well against competition sometimes.\u00a0 I’ve also found the reverse to be true.<\/p>\n

One of my first considerations on deciding which retailer shall receive my money is past experiences. \u00a0I’ve ordered from places online and will never order from them again. \u00a0It’s not even about their product. \u00a0I never saw it. \u00a0They order took to long to ship. \u00a0Are you listening retailers? \u00a0TIME is so important to us! \u00a0Timely order processing and shipping are our top priorities.<\/p>\n

Next I look at shipping and coupons\/discounts. \u00a0I refuse to pay shipping unless it’s something I think I may die without. \u00a0Then I make sure to purchase enough fabric that the shipping is less than 50 cents per yard. \u00a0Coupons for local stores are HUGE! \u00a0Bigger than big…the deciding factor of staying home to shop or venturing out into 100+ degree heat. If I’m leaving my house……DEALS better be plenty!<\/p>\n
