MOOOOOOOMMMMM!&#8221; \u00a0Like an ambulance screaming in the night. \u00a0It&#8217;s an emergency, at least to her it is! \u00a0She&#8217;s met some young man and has to go out with him, in public! Of course her wardrobe of odds and ends just won&#8217;t work. \u00a0She needs something from a fairy godmother &#8230;. YESTERDAY! \u00a0Actually, it&#8217;s not as daunting as it may seem. \u00a0Sewing with knits are wonderful when no one is there to try the garment on their body. \u00a0Ask her three questions to make a skirt, we will get to the rest later. Even faster are maxi skirts!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/4cRzsM08Da0\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe>Mesha has some of the most informative and detailed videos for beginners.<\/p>\n<p>Her measurements are needed when cutting the garment to size. \u00a0Do NOT use the standard measurements in the video or tutorial. \u00a0I&#8217;ve done this and ended up with clothing to fit a Barbie. \u00a0I, am not a Barbie. \u00a0Fabric wasting annoys me and blows money. \u00a0I&#8217;m a pretty thrifty gal so neither of those are my favorites. \u00a0I hope you ENJOY sewing for your daughter as much as she enjoys the skirt. \u00a0Check back for the tutorial on making a coordinating piece.
