But my closet is such a mess! I need help figuring a few things out. \u00a0I&#8217;m somewhere between stay at home and live in sweats and working girl wardrobe. \u00a0I hate sweats! I love pajamas, but it&#8217;s awkward to answer the door in the middle of the day in pajamas, isn&#8217;t it? \u00a0I want a soft, warm, comfortable yet presentable wardrobe. \u00a0The key is to purchase the right fabric. \u00a0The really <a href=\"http:\/\/www.girlcharlee.com\/french-terry-knit-fabric-c-90_106.html\">soft knit<\/a>, I buy from an online company, Girl Charlee. I also purchase soft cotton poplin online, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fabric.com\/find?SearchText=stretch+poplin\">here<\/a>\u00a0I love the way it moves with me and looks great when I use it for my skinnies. \u00a0I always get compliments. See, I wear lounge clothing everywhere, it&#8217;s just sometimes it looks a little more dressed up.<\/p>\n<p>I was reading about a <a href=\"http:\/\/pinchofyum.com\/how-to-start-a-capsule-wardrobe\">base wardrobe<\/a>, with 10 in each category that remain the same year round. \u00a0I love this idea!<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Workout\u00a0(pants and tops)<\/li>\n<li>Lounge\u00a0(pajamas, yoga pants, big comfy sweatshirts)<\/li>\n<li>Layering\u00a0(tanks and tees)<\/li>\n<li>Outerwear\u00a0(jackets, swimwear, hats and mittens)<\/li>\n<li>Formal \/ Accessories\u00a0(necklaces, scarves, earrings)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>This <strong>isn&#8217;t a capsule wardrobe<\/strong>, it&#8217;s separate. YAY! \u00a0Clothing I can wear and not feel guilty it doesn&#8217;t mesh with my capsule, the perfect formula for a wardrobe. \u00a0\ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p>The latest blog I read, over at a pinchofyum.com, \u00a0suggests figuring out why your style is or what types of things you do so you can build your own formula. \u00a0I love that idea, like I said I don&#8217;t have a wardrobe for work anymore.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Active: gym, kids, on the go, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Work: office, meetings, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Dressy: formal events, concerts, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Fun: restaurants, date night, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Lounge: movies at home, baking, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Daily: groceries, errands, work-from-home, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Doctor appointments: rehab, physical therapy, counseling, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>My wardrobe falls between lounge and fun. \u00a0YES my lounge clothes are worn for doctor appointments.
